Red Antifreeze Ready to use - 1000L IBC

Reliable Engine Cooling & Freeze Protection for Commercial Use

The Red Antifreeze Ready to Use- 1000L IBC is a pre-mixed, professional-grade engine coolant formulated to deliver dependable freeze protection, corrosion resistance and heat transfer performance.

Ideal for larger fleets, heavy-duty construction and industrial heat transfer applications.

Designed for modern engines and mixed-metal cooling systems, this ready-to-use antifreeze eliminates the need for on-site dilution while ensuring consistent protection across large fleets and high-usage environments.

Based on monoethylene glycol and organic additive technology, it is suitable for use in both petrol and diesel engines, contains no nitrites, amines, phosphates, borates, silicates and no other mineral additives.

Supplied in a 1000-Litre IBC, it is the ideal bulk solution for workshops, depots and operators managing multiple vehicles or machines.

Applications

  • Cars, vans, HGV's and buses
  • Agricultural machinery and tractors
  • Construction and plant equipment
  • Commercial fleets and transport depots
  • Workshops and service centres
  • Generators and industrial engines

Features & Benefits

  • Ready to Use Formula - Pre-mixed to correct concentration - no dilution required, reducing handling errors
  • Effective Freeze & Overheat Protection - Helps prevent freezing in cold conditions while maintaining efficient heat transfer at operating temperatures.
  • Corrosion & Scale Protection - Protects aluminium, cast iron, steel and copper components from corrosion and scale build-up.
  • Extended Cooling System Life - Reduces wear on water pumps, radiators and hoses, helping lower maintenance costs.
  • Consistent bulk Supply - 1000L IBC format ensures reliable availability for high-consumption operations.
  • Compatible with Modern Cooling Systems - Suitable for use in many modern petrol and diesel engines when manufacturer requirements allow red antifreeze.

How to Use

  1. Ensure the engine is cool before opening the cooling system
  2. Drain existing coolant if changing antifreeze type or as part of scheduled maintenance
  3. Fill the cooling system directly with the ready-to-use antifreeze
  4. Bleed the system according to vehicle or equipment manufacturer instructions
  5. Check levels after initial operation and top up if required

Red Antifreeze Ready to Use does not need to be diluted and in its current state gives -40°C freeze protection. However, should a lower freeze protection be required, the table below shows the possible dilution rates and resulting temperature protection. Dilute with deionised water for optimum results:

Red Antifreeze Ready to Use (vol %) Water (vol %) Freeze Protection (°C)
66 34 -20
100 0 -40

Delivery

All our Landowner IBCs are for delivery by customer offload. This entails the customer to acquire the right manpower and/or machinery to help unload the tank/s from the delivery vehicle. An onsite Forklift/telehandler is required for offloading delivery of this product.

If you require any specific requirements regarding delivery, please call us before order is placed, where we will try and accommodate this facility for you.

Delivery Terms

The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.

Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload

These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.

Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.

18-tonne tail-lift HGV

This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.

Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.

HIAB delivery

HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.

Accessories

Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.

Returns Information

Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.

How to return an item

  • Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
  • Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
  • Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
  • Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.
