No. There is no surcharge on any payment method, including American Express and credit cards. The total at checkout is the total you pay.
Prices are shown excluding VAT by default, because most of our customers are trade and reclaim it. There's a toggle on every product page to switch to VAT-inclusive pricing, and VAT at 20% is added at checkout for UK orders.
The eligibility check for interest-free Pay in 3 is a soft search, which doesn't affect your score. Shop Pay Instalments is underwritten individually by Affirm and the check depends on the plan you choose — it's set out during the application. Missing payments on any credit agreement could affect your ability to borrow in future.
Up to a point. PayPal caps Pay in 3 at £2,000 and Klarna sets a limit per customer, so most multi-tank baskets fall outside both. Shop Pay Instalments runs to £30,000 inc VAT and is usually the only route that covers a full site order. Above that, or if you're buying through a company, use a bank transfer or a trade account.
No. Instalment plans are consumer credit agreements and can't be used on business-to-business orders. If you're buying through a company, pay by card, bank transfer or on a trade account instead.
At order. Card, wallet and PayPal payments are captured when you place the order, which is what triggers picking and booking. On an instalment plan the provider pays us in full straight away and you repay them. Bank transfer orders are held until funds clear.
Not through the website. Deposit and balance arrangements are handled on trade accounts, or by phone for bespoke and made-to-order tanks — talk to us before you place the order and we'll set it up as a staged invoice.
Most applications are reviewed within two working days. You can carry on ordering by card in the meantime, and we'll switch you over once the account is open.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card and wallet refunds typically show within 3–5 working days. On an instalment plan the provider cancels or adjusts your remaining payments and returns anything already taken — keep paying the schedule until they confirm the change, as the two systems don't always update on the same day. Bank transfers are refunded to the originating account.
