What’s inside the Commissioning Kit
Carry Bag
The sturdy black and red carry bag is designed to fit conveniently in your van. When you get called out as an oil technician, you’ll have everything neatly organized and ready to go.
Pressure Gauge
A 300 psi high-pressure gauge with a clear 63mm dial is included, filled with glycerin to ensure smooth and accurate readings every time. The kit also comes with a pressure gauge manifold to protect the gauge from sudden pressure spikes. The 200mm high-pressure hose is strong yet flexible, making pressure testing straightforward.
Tools
The universal nozzle spanner can remove nearly any burner nozzle with ease. There’s also an adjustable spanner with 20mm jaws and a 200mm handle for a firm grip. The set of eight Allen keys covers the most common sizes found in UK oil burners and boilers, all neatly stored in a plastic holder.
You’ll also find three insulated screwdrivers: a Phillips 100mm VDE, a POZ1 100mm VDE, and a Slotted 0.8 x 4 x 100mm, all built for comfort and durability.
The T-Bar Socket comes with a 13mm fitting and a large handle, making it easy to apply high torque. Paired with a 4mm hex T-Bar Allen key, this set prepares you for any job.
Lastly, the Brigon smoke pump is lightweight and dependable. Included with smoke papers and a chart, it helps measure the smoke levels in an oil burner’s flue. The accurate papers provide trustworthy readings, and the chart is user-friendly.

Delivery Terms
The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.
Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload
These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.
Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.
18-tonne tail-lift HGV
This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.
Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.
HIAB delivery
HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.
Accessories
Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.
Returns Information
Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.
Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.
