Oil Solenoid Valve - Low Pressure

The Low Pressure Oil Solenoid Valve is designed to act as a safety shut-off device in oil supply systems. Controlled electrically, it offers reliable, fast action to interrupt oil flow in the event of alarms, leaks, or fire safety triggers. Ideal for use in burner installations, oil supply lines, and controlled shut-off systems.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Safety Functionality - Operates as a fail-safe valve, closing to isolate oil supply when triggered by fire alarm, leak detection, or control logic.
  • Electrical Activation - Compatible with relay control systems to provide remote triggering and integration with safety systems.
  • Multiple Sizes & Voltages Available - While standard low-pressure options are listed, bespoke sizes and voltages can be supplied on request.
  • Compact Design - Suitable for in-line installation in oil supply lines with minimal footprint.
  • Robust Construction - Built to withstand typical oil system environments and continuous readiness.

Function & Use Cases

This solenoid valve is ideally installed inline in oil feed systems. Under normal operation, oil flows freely, but when the solenoid is triggered (such as by a fire alarm or leak detector), the valve instantly shuts off the oil flow, protecting against hazard escalation. The electrical interface allows seamless integration with safety control systems and logic relays.

Why Choose This Valve?

  • Reliability - Designed for quick, positive shut-off to prevent oil escape in emergencies.
  • Safety Integration - Works with fire detection or leak sensors to provide automated response.
  • Flexibility - Custom sizes and voltages ensure adaptability to varied installations.
  • Ease of Specification - Clear specification sheets and options simplify selection for engineers.

Delivery Terms

The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.

Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload

These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.

Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.

18-tonne tail-lift HGV

This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.

Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.

HIAB delivery

HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.

Accessories

Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.

Returns Information

Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.

How to return an item

  • Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
  • Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
  • Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
  • Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.
