Description
MANUTEC Industrial HC-EP 220 - Heavy-Duty Extreme-Pressure Gear Oil
MANUTEC Industrial HC-EP 220 is a premium ISO VG extreme-pressure industrial gear oil engineered for severe-duty gearboxes, bearings and circulating systems operating under high load, intermittent shock loading and elevated temperatures.
Formulated using high-purity base oils and a fortified EP additive system, it delivers exceptional anti-scuff performance, extended service life and outstanding film strength where standard oils cannot cope.
This oil is ideal for slow-to-medium speed heavy industrial gear drives where reliability, uptime and wear control are essential.
Recommended Applications
- Enclosed Industrial Gearboxes (spur, helical, bevel, planetary) requiring ISO VG 220 EP oil
- Heavy Loaded Reduction Gear Units in crushers, mixers, conveyors and mills
- Mining, Quarrying and Aggregate Equipment subject to shock loading
- Steel, Cement, Paper and Processing Plants using circulating lubrication systems
- Heavily Loaded Bearings operating at slow speeds
- Agitators, Extruders, Presses and Drive Systems requiring high-viscosity EP oils
- Gearboxes in Harsh, Dusty or Wet Environments needing strong corrosion and water separation properties
- Suitable for: AGMA 9005-E02: 252.4 AIST (US Steel) 224 David Brown S1.53.101 DIN 51517 Part III ISO 12925-1 CKC Suitable for steel mill gearbox applications where shock loading conditions impose unique stresses
Key Benefits
- Extreme-Pressure Protection: EP additives create a sacrificial, load-bearing film that prevents wear, scuffing and micropitting under heavy loading and lubrication stress.
- Thermally Stable Formula: Resists thinning at high temperature and maintains viscosity for consistent gear film strength.
- Long Service Life: Excellent oxidation resistance reduces sludge, varnish and acidic byproducts - ideal for long drain intervals in circulating systems.
- Corrosion & Rust Protection: Protects internal gearbox surfaces and bearings during downtime, start-up and humid conditions.
- Water Separation & Foam Control: Fast air release and strong demulsification help prevent foam, aeration and water-induced bearing damage.
- Smooth & Quiet Operation: Reduced friction improves mechanical efficiency and lowers overall noise.
