HYDRATEC HVI 46 - Hydraulic Oil
Aztec oils Hydratec HVI 46 is a high-viscosity-index, mineral-based hydraulic fluid designed for demanding hydraulic systems that operate across wide temperature ranges and high pressures.
Engineered with a blend of solvent-refined base oils and viscosity-index improvers, it delivers stable performance, superior protection and efficient, reliable operation for machinery exposed to variable conditions.
Recommended Applications
- Hydraulic systems with vane, piston, or gear pumps operating under high pressure
- Industrial machinery requiring consistent oil viscosity in both warm and cold environments
- Mobile equipment (e.g. construction, lifting) with variable temperature exposure
- Systems demanding wear protection and long-term stability, such as power packs and hydraulic power units
- Application where fluid emulsification is a concern - ideal where good water-separation is required
- Suitable for: Denison HF-0, HF-1, HF-2 DIN 51524 Part III HVLP ISO 11158 Type HV ISO 6743-4 Type HV
Key Benefits
- Exceptional Temperature Stability - thanks to its high viscosity index, this oil maintains a more consistent viscosity in hot and cold conditions
- Outstanding anti-Wear Protection - robust additive system protects pumps, valves and motors under severe load
- Excellent Oxidation Resistance - helps prevent gum and lacquer formation, extending fluid life
- Good Demulsification and Water Separation - minimises emulsions, reducing risk of damage from water contamination
- Low Foam & Fast Air Release - ensures stable performance under dynamic hydraulic conditions
- Energy Efficiency - high VI and stable viscosity contribute to reduce drag losses and smoother system operation

Delivery Terms
The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.
Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload
These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.
Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.
18-tonne tail-lift HGV
This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.
Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.
HIAB delivery
HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.
Accessories
Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.
Returns Information
Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.
Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.
How to return an item
- Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
- Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
