Atlas 3500BVA: 3500 Litre Bunded Heating Oil Tank

Product Overview

The Atlas 3500BVA is a 3,500 litre vertical bunded oil tank designed for secure storage of heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gas oil and HVO. Manufactured from high-grade polyethylene, this British-made Atlas tank combines robust double-skinned construction with a vertical design, making it suitable for domestic, agricultural, commercial and industrial fuel storage applications.

The tank is supplied with an overfill prevention valve, inspection access, vent, 1" BSP bottom outlet and lockable manhole cover. A basic top outlet connection is also available as an alternative to the standard bottom outlet configuration.

Bunded Tank Construction

The Atlas 3500BVA uses a tank-within-a-tank construction. The inner tank acts as the primary fuel storage vessel, while the outer tank provides secondary containment in the event of a leak or spill.

This double-skinned construction provides an additional layer of containment around the stored fuel and is designed to retain surplus fuel within the outer tank should the primary tank experience a leak

Applications

The Atlas 3500BVA is suitable for a wide range of domestic, agricultural, commercial and industrial fuel storage applications.

Typical applications include:

  • Commercial heating oil storage
  • Farms and agricultural properties
  • Rural properties
  • Commercial buildings
  • Industrial premises
  • Large heating systems
  • Diesel and gas oil storage
  • HVO storage
  • Workshops and depots
  • Sites requiring substantial on-site fuel storage

Its 3,500 litre capacity makes the tank suitable where a larger volume of fuel needs to be stored on site, while the vertical design provides a practical footprint for its storage capacity.

Delivery Terms

Please contact us in relation to leadtimes for these products

The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.

Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload

These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.

Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.

18-tonne tail-lift HGV

This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.

Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.

HIAB delivery

HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.

Accessories

Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.

Returns Information

Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.

How to return an item

  • Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
  • Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
  • Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
