Bunded Tank Construction

The H2500PDD is a bunded tank incorporating a primary inner storage tank within an outer containment structure.

The inner tank acts as the main fuel storage vessel, while the outer skin provides secondary containment. In the event of a spill or failure of the primary tank, surplus fuel is retained within the outer containment area, helping to reduce the risk of an environmental pollution incident.

Compact Horizontal Design

The H2500PDD uses a horizontal tank configuration supported by an external pre-galvanised steel frame.

The external frame supports both the inner and outer skins and reduces the need for extensive internal ribbing. The framework also provides additional mounting points where grapple hooks can be attached.

The published tank dimensions are 2,300 mm long × 1,250 mm wide × 1,450 mm high, with a stated footprint of 1,980 mm × 1,200 mm.

Diesel, Gas Oil and HVO Storage

The H2500PDD is designed for fuel oil (A2) and gas oil/diesel, including biofuel HVO, within the manufacturer's stated fuel specifications.

Conforms to BS EN 2869, BS EN 590 and BS EN 15940 for the stated fuel applications.

The tank is specifically not suitable for the storage of kerosene. Only fuels compatible with the tank and dispensing equipment should be stored and dispensed through the system.

Choice of Pump Options

The H2500PDD is available with 12V, 230V or 110V pump configurations.

The 12V pump is supplied with crocodile clips, providing an option where a suitable 12V electrical supply is preferred.

The 230V pump is supplied with a 3-pin "Caravan Style" plug and 1.8-metre power cable for connection to a suitable mains supply.

Suitable Applications

The Deso H2500PDD is suitable for a wide range of professional fuel storage and dispensing applications, including:

  • Commercial vehicle fleets
  • Agricultural machinery
  • Farms and agricultural businesses
  • Construction plant
  • Plant and machinery
  • Industrial sites
  • Haulage and transport operations
  • Plant hire operations
  • Diesel-powered equipment
  • On-site vehicle refuelling
  • Gas oil storage and dispensing
  • HVO storage and dispensing

The 2,518-litre stated volume provides a substantial on-site fuel reserve for operations requiring regular refuelling of vehicles and machinery.

Delivery and Offloading

Standard tank delivery is kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb rather than being positioned into its final installation location.

HIAB delivery is available by request at additional cost.

Delivery Terms

IN STOCK - Delivery in 5-7 Working Days (Standard Spec)

The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.

Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload

These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.

Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.

18-tonne tail-lift HGV

This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.

Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.

HIAB delivery

HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.

Accessories

Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.

Returns Information

Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.

How to return an item

  • Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
  • Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
  • Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
  • Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.

What is a bunded tank?

A bunded tank consists of a 'tank within a tank'.

The inner tank is the primary storage vessel, whilst the outer tank acts as a failsafe.

In the event of a spill, surplus fuel will safely and securely be stored within the outer tank and an environmental pollution incident will be averted.

Delivery Information

Prices quoted include delivery to mainland UK and Northern Ireland locations but excludes offshore islands and locations.

Delivery is a kerbside delivery service only and not a "drop at your door service".

Arrangements must be made by the customer to manoeuvre tanks into position.

On tanks with a capacity of 2,500 litres deliveries can be made by articulated lorry and it is the customers' responsibility to ensure safe and adequate access for large lorries plus off loading facilities at the delivery address.

Off loading of heavy items should be made by fork lift or similar heavy lifting equipment

Tanks cannot be left without a customer signature
