1900 Litre Bunded Oil Tank - Atlas 1900BHA

Product Overview

The Atlas 1900BHA is a 1,900 litre bunded oil tank designed for secure storage of heating oil, kerosene, diesel and HVO. Manufactured in high-grade polyethylene, this British-made tank combines a robust double-skinned construction with a practical horizontal design, making it suitable for both domestic and commercial fuel storage applications.

The tank is supplied with an overfill prevention valve, inspection access, vent, outlet connection and lockable manhole cover. It is also supplied with a Watchman Sonic Advanced system, providing additional monitoring capability for the stored fuel.

Bunded Tank Construction

The Atlas 1900BHA uses a tank-within-a-tank design. The inner tank acts as the primary storage vessel, while the outer tank provides secondary containment in the event of a spill or leakage.

This bunded construction provides an additional layer of protection around the stored fuel and helps reduce the risk of an environmental pollution incident.

Applications

The Atlas 1900BHA is suitable for a wide range of domestic, agricultural, commercial and industrial fuel storage applications.

Typical applications include:

  • Domestic heating oil storage
  • Commercial heating systems
  • Farms and agricultural properties
  • Workshops and industrial premises
  • Commercial buildings
  • Rural properties
  • Heating oil storage installations
  • Sites requiring diesel or HVO storage

Its 1,900 litre capacity makes it suitable where a larger volume of fuel is required while the horizontal tank format provides a practical installation footprint.

Delivery

Standard tank delivery is kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned into its final installation location.

The customer is responsible for ensuring suitable access to the delivery location and for moving the tank into position where required. HIAB delivery is available by request at an additional cost.

For tanks of this size, customers should check access routes, vehicle restrictions, overhead branches and the availability of suitable equipment before delivery.

Estimated Leadtime is 3-5 Working Days

The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.

Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload

These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.

Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.

18-tonne tail-lift HGV

This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.

Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.

HIAB delivery

HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.

Accessories

Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.

Returns Information

Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.

How to return an item

  • Complete the form on our returns page with details of your order.
  • Once your request is approved, we'll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) along with instructions on how and where to return your order, and any costs involved.
  • Please do not return any goods without this authorisation. Goods cannot be accepted without a valid RAN.
  • Returns are not accepted at our Minehead office. Please wait until we contact you before returning anything.

What is a bunded tank?

A bunded tank consists of a 'tank within a tank'.

The inner tank is the primary storage vessel, whilst the outer tank acts as a failsafe.

In the event of a spill, surplus fuel will safely and securely be stored within the outer tank and an environmental pollution incident will be averted.

Installation requirements

This Oil Tank must be installed and maintained in accordance to the current OFTEC guidelines, by an OFTEC Registered Technician or similarly competent person.

Fuel Tank Shop and the manufacturer will not be responsible for oil tank installations which do not comply with these requirements.

OFTEC Base Construction Guidelines (in brief):

  • Adequate for the weight of the tank when full
  • Non-combustible, imperforate and level
  • Constructed of concrete, paving stones or stonework
  • Large enough to extend 300mm beyond ALL sides of the tanks
