Bunded Tank Construction
The Deso LP1200BT uses a tank-within-a-tank design. The inner tank provides the primary fuel storage, while the outer tank forms secondary containment in the event of a spill or leakage from the inner vessel.
This bunded construction provides an additional level of containment compared with a single-skin tank and makes the LP1200BT a suitable option for applications where secondary containment is required.
High-Grade Polyethylene Construction
The LP1200BT is manufactured from high-grade polyethylene and is British made. According to the product information, the tank is corrosion resistant, has high impact strength and is UV stabilised, making it suitable for outdoor fuel storage.
The manufacturer also states that Deso tanks are CE marked and comply with the latest European standards.
Suitable Applications
The Deso LP1200BT is designed for fuel oil storage in a range of domestic and commercial settings, including:
- Domestic heating oil storage
- Kerosene storage
- Commercial fuel oil storage
- Agricultural and rural properties
- Properties requiring a low profile tank
- Installations where reduced tank height is advantageous

Delivery Terms
Estimated Leadtime is 3-5 Working Days
The delivery of a tank can be confusing as each manufacturer offers a slightly different service and lead time. Please refer to our Delivery Information page. Standard tank deliveries are "kerbside", which means the tank will be delivered to the kerb only and not positioned further. Should you have specific delivery requirements or restrictions, please contact us to discuss.
Tanks over 2,500L — articulated lorry, customer offload
These tanks are delivered on an articulated vehicle (approximately 16.5m long × 2.6m wide × 3m high) which has no offloading on board. It is the customer's responsibility to offload the tank, which may require a telehandler or forklift.
Curtain-sided vehicles are also used, so please note that if there are obstacles or overhanging branches on the road to the delivery site, the driver may refuse to drive to the location due to the risk of damaging the vehicle. Please let us know about any obstructions before delivery so we can arrange alternative transport.
18-tonne tail-lift HGV
This vehicle is roughly the size of the largest bin lorries — approximately 8.2m long × 2.6m wide × 4m high, and often curtain-sided. If there are overhanging branches, these vehicles will not attempt the route, so a smaller vehicle should be requested.
Tanks are lowered to the ground but not positioned, as this is a kerbside delivery. If a smaller vehicle is required, email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name.
HIAB delivery
HIAB delivery is available but must be requested, and carries an additional cost. Email sales@fueltankshop.co.uk quoting your order number and name, and we'll come back to you with a price.
Accessories
Most accessories are delivered within 1–3 working days. Certain products and postcodes may take longer — check the product page for current information. If you need them sooner we can sometimes offer a next-day service; please contact us to discuss. If an item is out of stock we'll advise the expected lead time, and you're free to cancel for a full refund.
Returns Information
Customers may return items within 14 calendar days, as set out in section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
All items must be returned unused. Refunds cannot be issued for used or previously installed items.
Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so do check you're ordering the correct item — we strongly suggest checking the dimensions carefully before you buy.
