When ambient temperatures exceed a defined limit, the valve automatically activates to shut off the fuel supply to the burner, helping to prevent the spread of fire.

This model operates using a capillary mechanism: a temperature-sensing probe is linked to the trip mechanism via a hollow copper capillary tube. Available in 2m, 3m, and 6m lengths, this allows for flexible installation even when the fuel line is positioned at a distance from the appliance.

Also known as Remote Sensing Fire Valves, these units must be installed in accordance with BS 5410: Part 1: 1997, which is cited in the Building Regulations and Standards for:

England and Wales (Part J)

Scotland (Part F)

Republic of Ireland (Part J)

Important Safety Notes

Non-compliance with the following points may void the product warranty:

Suitable only for Class C and D fuel oils and biofuel blends up to B35.

Installation and associated pipework should be carried out only by a qualified engineer, in line with BS 5410 Part 1 and all relevant local building regulations.

Flow Rates

Kerosene: 56 L/h at 1m head or 85 L/h at 2m head

Diesel: 50 L/h at 1m head or 76 L/h at 2m head

Maintenance

When properly installed, the Capillary Fire Valve (CFV) requires no routine maintenance.
